Hey I have a great idea... either that or I hit my head on my way out of bed
this morning :-) What is a XWindows client were ported to the AS/400? Then
you could have host based editing with a linux/unix/window/dos/who knows
what else Xterminal and have all the GUI stuff a person could ever want! Now
that PASE is a reality perhaps it would not be too hard to port X11 (
Perhaps using XFree-86 as a starting point?) to the AS/400??? Once that is
done I could see a slew of editors and applications popping up on the
AS/400. Would it take more CPU resourses, you bet but processor cycles are
getting cheaper all the time.

Just thought I would pipe in since you all haven't heard from me in a while
:-)
