It isn't acceptable and it isn't normal.  I would assume memory or activity
level tuning is causing the system to choke up so badly that jobs are timing
out - jobs that the developer never thought would timing out so they contain
no code the handle the event.

If you can capture a print screen and include it into a message please send
this:

1. from a command line, type wrksyssts and press enter
2. press F21, set the option to expert and press enter
3. press F10 then F5
4. wait 5 minutes and press F5
5. capture the screen and put it into a message.

If you send it to me, I will take a look.  Please include a phone number so
I can call you.

You could also send it to the list and let everyone give you suggestions.

Well, you're right in that Domino is the biggest cause of my problems.  What

don't understand is an operating system that locks up and makes me IPL

the software running on it and causing a problem can't be shut down. Does

sound familiar?  I can't imagine that this is acceptable behavior.

Maybe the problem is with Domino rather than with the As/400?
