You do not have the DASD to hold the upgraded OS, 94.57% - Wow.  You must
first upgrade DASD.  Might as well do the memory at the same time.  What
drive(s) do you plan on adding?  Are they available under V3R7?  

But really consider going to a 720.  We went from your machine to a 720 -
206B total CPW = 420 and ICPW = 120 and dropped from a P30 to a P20.  Much
Much faster and cheaper on hardware and software maintenance.  The OS
upgrade was cheaper too.  Our VP of IS said it would save money over a 3
year period.  You should check into it before upgrading your current system.
