We bought Powerhouse (Cognos) and gave up for following reasons-
Poor execution time on 400, lots of 400 resource needed for development, not
as 'cross platform' as we were led to believe (you really had to recode to
run in Windows & be a C expert), suppliers lack of 400 knowledge,
suppliers tendency to blame IBM and/or 400 for shortcomings and lack of
clear future development plans for the product.

We now use another CASE tool but because we are the LANSA partner for
Ireland I feel I cannot comment further in this list but I would advise
prospective CASE customers to look for real cross platform functionality and
good Internet capabilities.
