I think the original suggestion kind of precluded the tattoo's being visible
at the sort of beaches I'd be likely to visit (and leave without being
arrested), but if it were the sort of beach where the tattoo were legally
visible, I think it would be a great conversation piece.  While the fear of
severe penalties has greatly reduced my interest in meeting people of other
genders these days, if I were, I'm sure Malcolm or the IBM logo would work
equally well. <g>  

I've got to agree with you about "doesn't sit right" though. <g>
