I never used a 3742, but I can tell you that the 3741 display had 6 lines of
40 characters.  It was the same screen as the S/32, where the screen was
horizontal with backward characters and you viewed it in a mirror.

I don't remember much any more about how the actual input area was arranged
except that you could define field sizes and types across the record so that
the operator could key in data field by field.
