Go into CFGTCP and check to make sure your host name and domain
names are setup correctly (opt 12. CHGTCPDMN).  These should reflect
what you have in your (10. Work with TCP/IP...) host table entries.  Also,
under option 12, if the Host name search priority  . . .  is *REMOTE,
change it to *LOCAL.  I just fixed this exact problem on our 400 a few
weeks ago.

The book I'm using is the one by Brad Stone and is from Midrange
Computing.
Also, I do have the *ADMIN server started, so I don't think that this is the
problem causing me not to be able to connect.
