Pete, you are exactly right imho.  If there are problems of understanding 
it is my experience that an open and frank discussion creates the correct 
atmosphere for both parties.

There is only one or two places  that have ever hurt me, and I just don't 
go back to those places.  People don't like being in the dark, and they 
don't like their property being taken.  On the other hand I walk through 
the door with skills they want and I use those skills to their advantage.

So far, my experience has been 
that if you attempt to deal honorably with people, they will usually 
return 
the favor, and if they don't, you should stop dealing with them. Of 
course, 
a little pragmatism doesn't hurt either...
