I say it's nigh on impossible to know an applicants level of expertise
before hand.

Further, I don't think it matters too much!

I don't necessarily want tons of experience; I want tons of intellect ...
teachability ... curiousness ... a fascination with "cool stuff" ... good --
no, great -- people skills ... stuff like that.

If you're a good programmer or a good mechanic, you can learn a language or
the working of a Jetta transmission.

My take on it.

Oh ... and _I_, of course, HAVE all the above-mentioned attributes! <BIG
GRIN>
