Do you have multiple 400's?  If so, initiate the email from one of the others.

Subject:        Email a file from the IFS

I am running Domino for AS/400 using Domino's native SMTP server not the
crappy MSF implementation, and would like to send an email message using
SMTP to people out on the internet. Does anyone know of a product/shareware
program/code sample that would allow me to communicate with the SMTP server
running on my Domino Server? How hard would it be to create such a program?
Where could I look for more information on creating such a program?
