I created a spreadsheet in excel 2000 and used ODBC to bring in an AS/400 file - no problem.  I just tried creating labels either in Access 2000, or Word 2000 and I can't not bring data in.

Access 2000-  if I link it looks like it is okay until I try to open the file, it just  "flashes" and nothing displays, or I get an error that it can not be displayed in a datasheet.   If I import the file is there but when I try and create the labels, I get an error that "You can't carry out this action at present time".

Word 2000- I get a communication sql error when I try to get data.

Has anyone been able to do either of these successfully, has anything changed on office 2000?
