Update on How do I power up Model 500 correctly?

Thanks again to everyone who replied.I got the 500 up and running with a
little
bit of drama.Just a courtsy message
In normal mode it  IPLed to 01 B but no signon on port0/0.
So I switched to manual mode and hit power off button and did a manual
IPL.Didnt even get as far as DST after
C6XX 4XX  got sys attn with A6005004 OPERATION INTERUPTION BY VLIC
didnt have any 9406 books so I used my E20 manuals
-------- SEE SYSTEM SUPPORT UNIT REFERENCE CODE GUIDE 9404
VLIC REFERANCE CODES A600-5004 The service console failed to respond.
 had to hit hit power off button  again and switch back to normal mode -it
IPLed to 01 B but no signon -simply setup consule for port0/1----IT
WORKED!!!

System       HO400
Subsystem QCTL
Display      DSP01.

the strange thing since it has a 2617 ethernet card I assume that it
somehome must of override port0 address 0 on the twinax controller and
autoconfigured DSP01 to port0 address 1.
