Caroline,

One of many methods is to use AFP printing. There is a barcode DDS command
that will print the barcode for you. You can position the barcode anywhere
on the page and it supports the popular formats. AFP will have to be
installed on the AS/400; I don't recall if it is an included feature or
additional charge. I am sure someone on the list will know.

You have to make sure that the laser printer will support *IPDS printing;
there is a couple inexpensive units available to convert IPDS to PCL on the
market. Prime makes one, if I remember correctly.
