Its fine to do, just make sure that you do NOT have the Auto IPL set to Yes on
option 8 of GO PTF..  One other thing, is do NOT do this from the console if you
have a busy system.  Since this terminal is running at priority 10, you will
effect the performance of your users, and perhaps that is why they recommend not
running this when users are on the system.  It is a very CPU intensive job, so 
if
you run it form another terminal, you could even make the priority of that job
greater than 20, so there is even less impact on the users. I have been putting
PTFs on systems for 10 years during the day, and have never had a problem.

    Of course, its JMHO
