This comes up on a periodic basis.  The value of this tends to be on 
your own personal experiences and paradigm.

I've been to interviews in which the certification was all you need to 
get through the technical part of the interview.

Some will argue that testing is meaningless.  These may be the same people 
that argue against standardized testing in schools.

Some will argue that the tests themselves are flawed.  Their argument 
may include that they have RPGIV on the test and that there are many jobs 
out there for people who have no desire to learn or grow, at least for 
the interim.

I agree with Bill - the IBM Tech Conferences are very good!  Granted, I have
never been to Common, but if I had a choice I would pick IBM Tech
Conference.  What does everyone think about IBM Certifications?  I am
working towards these (my own pocket, so far), and would appreciate any
comment.  Are they worth it?  Do they help?
