Is program 2 setting on LR each time.
If so, change it to not set on LR at each call, and then do a final call
to program 2 to seton LR once Program
1 has processed all its records!

Subject: Make go faster

Good Morning All;

I inherited a program that takes an hour to process 40,000
records.  Program 1
calls program 2 twice for each record. I would like to see if
I can decrease
the run time by binding these 2 programs together, but I am not
sure how to do
this.

I want to try this:
        Change Call in Prog 1 to CallB
        Create Mod --> Prog 1
        Create Mod --> Prog 2
        Create PGM specifying Prog1 as the first program

Will this work? What is the difference between CallB and CallP?

Thanks for the help!
