You just triggered one more recollection; we created several special
opcodes for WSU that were never implemented anywhere else. The one I
remember best was a new opcode for adding new transactions, which we
decided to name PUTA, for PUT as an Add. The week before announce we were
forced to redo all the announcement materials, update the manuals, and
change the code, because people in Spain were outraged at our audacity in
adding such a terrible thing to the language. We learned that in Spanish,
a puta is a VERY derogatory term for a lady of the night.

I don't remember anymore what we changed the opcode to. But IBM's
processes were updated to do searches for new keywords against a list of
dirty words in *all* languages...

WSU stands for Workstation Utility. It was a little known programming
utility
on the S34/36 to create online programs. I had 31 of them on the System 34
before rewritting them for the System 38. There is one source member per
program. The S & D specs and the RPG calcs are all in one source. They
are not
entirely the same as regular S,D and RPG C specs. I might even have my old
templete at home somewhere. I seem to recall that text was handled
differently.
I know there were several opcodes unique only to WSU as far as screen and
file
handling. The structure of the source required that the C specs for each
screen
be directly after each screen's S&D specs.

Hope this helps
