Re: DB/2 Connect on an NT platform connecting to AS/400

I ran into this same problem about a month ago (with very similar results from 
IBM!!!)  I had to create a user profile specifically to handle the UDB DB/2 
connection.  On the user profile, specify the Coded Character set ID (CCSID) as 
37.

BTW,  which OS/400 version are you using and which connection method?  I am on 
V4R1 and was forced to use the SNA method which wasn't very good.  I ended up 
just using an ODBC driver and scrapping the UDB connection.  However, I hear 
that beginning with V4R4 you can use TCP/IP.  Is this what you are doing?  If 
so, how was the setup and performance (I know you can't actually test 
performance yet because of this problem, but once you get it resolved I would 
be curious to know).

We have Catalog Architect  (part of the Ecommerce Websphere suite)  running
on an NT box the is supposed to connect to the AS/400 using DB/2 Connect.
When we try to connect we get the following error message:

     [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL0332N There is no available conversion for the
source code page "65535" to the target code page "1252". Reason Code "1".
SQLSTATE=57017

Additional information yields:

OS/400 users should be aware that AS/400 CCSID 65535 is not
supported. AS/400 data encoded using CCSID 65535 must be
converted to a supported CCSID before it can be accessed using
DB2 Connect.

Has anyone run into this with DB/2 Connect.  Any Suggestions?  IBM hasn't
got a clue what to do.  They keep bouncing between OS/400 support and NT
support with no resolution.
