RE: Save-while-active problem

The system should be quiesced while the Save_While_Active synchronization
process is run. On our system this takes about 12 minutes, during which time
no one can use the system. This insures that all transactions are committed
and that the save process can access everything it wants to save. You may
want to take a look at the presentation Al Brasa put together last fall too.
It discusses how to implement Save While Active.  I'm sure if you ask
nicely, Al will e-mail you a copy... :)
