I guess that's the heart of our disagreement.   I didn't think it was that
provocative.

 I think it was, but in a positive way.  It was *designed* to get a rise out of IBM and to have the crowd join in the cheering!

Kinda defeatist isn't it?  Or on the other hand I think I
get your point.   Action is worthless but talking isn't huh?

 If you recall, recently Jon posted a response to this board that the community response did have an effect on the decision of adding the partial freeform.  I also think that it had an effect of today's forward thinking. 

 The reality is that for the people that were pushing it, it was "too little, too late."  That doesn't mean that we shouldn't ask / push / beg / cajole / petition, etc. IBM for new things.
