Re: Coolest code you've ever written

I worked for a company that sold cabinets for storing
musical instruments to schools. These cabinets came in
a variety of sizes and configurations. The music director
would send in a list of the instruments and my program
would find the optimal grouping of cabinets based on a
wide variety of criteria. This program itself was extremely
complicated and provided a huge benefit. The only
problem was that the band directors were not always
able to figure out how to actually store the instruments
to get them all in the cabinets. This was mostly due to
the fact that all instruments could fit in more than one
type of cabinet / compartment. To remedy this, I used
QGDDM to draw each cabinet and then listed all
instruments next to it that were supposed to go into it.
To conserve paper, I had to draw 6 cabinets and 6 lists
on each printed page. These maps were then sent with
the order so the instruments could be stored properly.
This was all done on the S/38 with RPGIII.
