We are cleaning up our AS/400 after conversion, Y2K, etc.
We have a ton of DFU programs all created in a library called DFUQRY.
I do a WRKOBJ DFUQRY/A* to get a list of the *PGM and *FILE components of
the DFU programs that start with "A".
I put an 8 beside the objects to see if they have been used recently and
also check my OBJREF printout to see if they are called in an application or
menu. Then I decide whether or not to delete them.

Now it gets strange.

If I have the *PGM and the *FILE object on the same visible WRKOBJ screen I
just put a 4 beside both parts, press enter, then enter again at the delete
confirmation screen. No problem.

If the *PGM is on screen 1 but the *FILE is on screen 3, if I put a 4 beside
both, press enter, then enter again, it will delete the *PGM but give me an
error screen that the *FILE doesn't exist. If I put a 4 beside just the
program and press enter, enter, it will delete the program and if I roll
down the *FILE will still appear in the list but if I press CF5 to refresh,
the *FILE disappears from the screen.

The only thing I can figure that it is doing is that the AS/400 is using
DLTDFUPGM sometimes and DLTPGM/DLTF other times but how does it know?
I tried this with *MENU since there is a DLTMNU command but I don't get the
same results.
