Peter,

This sounds like the database name is too long.  Net.Commerce will only
accept a database name of 15 characters on the AS/400.  The WRKRDBDIRE
command will show you the names of the databases defined for your machine.
The one you are interested in is the *LOCAL.  If this name is more than 15
characters, that is a possible cause.

With Net.Commerce it is extraordinarily important to review each and every
stinking PTF that goes on the system.  IBM does not document the changes
that affect Net.Commerce well enough.  One you have your system running, I
would be very careful about CUME packages.
