Well, you should be okay then.

There was not any controller available compatible with V4R3, so we upgraded
to V4R4 on the spot.  It was a day from hell, console checks and all sorts
of fun.  I got so !*#&^%$ sick of the attention light ...  Part of it was
due to the fact that IBM CE who did the hardware part went past DST into a
full IPL when the system had V4R4 microcode but only V4R3 OS/400.  I was
taking the VAR guy to his hotel to get PTF CDs.  We had told the CE to let
it come up into DST and then just wait.  I don't know what possessed him to
go the rest of the way.  It was not our regular CE.  22.5 hours for the
whole process, hardware upgrade and software upgrade.
