 Yes, what you ran into is normal.
 On my systems I keep a CL program called NEWRELOS which  is a set of
command default changes, re-copying commands and/or other goodies that have
to be reset with each new release install (such as installation specific
authority changes -- in some cases we are more restrictive than IBM). By the
way -- a LONG time ago CUME PTF's reset your changes on occasion. I haven't
been nicked on PTF's changing things "back" in a while.
