Yes, I'm a ILE/C (ex RPG) programmer, and I use DSM & database
encapsulation in my code too. You're right too, that once you're doing
it, going back is a step in the wrong direction.

Some of the more fun things I've done with the DSM is to use them in
porting the Unix games 'rouge' and 'advent' among other things

If we were to use the DSM API's in a OpenSource project in itself
would be of benefit, there is hardly any examples of using them for
other programmers to look at
