Joel,

  My usual approach is to create the unusual character on the PC and upload it
to the AS/400 and see what it translates to, then I know what I have to put in
my file on the /400 side that should translate into what I want on the PC.  It
appears that you need a hex 9B on the PC the get the ¢ symbol.
