The 300 is a CISC machine, so won't run V4 software.  And all the 300
models (2040, 2041, and 2042) are in the P20 software tier.  This
means getting the OS for them will be *very* expensive considering the
CPW is only 11.6 to 21.1 depending on processor.

That is why they are so cheap on eBay right now.  Buy them for parts
but I don't recommend a P20 CISC machine for personal use...

PS - The last I checked, for a P20 license for the OS, Query, SQL,
ADTS, and RPG compiler, the total is $46,650.  But you better hurry,
I'm not sure how much longer you can order it!
