From the Help for FTP  on the AS/400:

"You can use an asterisk to send all the members in a file or all the
documents in a folder.  For example, MPUT MYLIB/MYFILE.* transfers 
all the members of file MYFILE in library MYLIB."

USE FTP on the AS/400 to send to the IFS or to some site on your LAN then 
copy them into the PC.

MGET is your friend.

for example:
ftp> mget qgpl/qrpgsrc

FTP will prompt you to download each member in the file QRPGSRC in QGPL.
Each member will be a separate file in your download directory.

I have not explored doing this in batch yet.
