  • Subject: Problems with WSCST and certain apps

According to what I can get from the Printing V redbook...

The flow of printing is APP -> PRTF-SPOOL ->(then a host of items that can feed
HostPrintTransform) see page 133 of redbook.

I have set the font ids for 10 and 12 cpi to numerous values as well as set the
hex data streams(different times). If I use IBM utilities to
create output then these functions work. If I use my client's apps sometimes it
works other times it ignores the WSCST and does what it
wants, which in this case is using to large a font when being sent to a HP5Si
or like printer.

I guess the question I have is how can an APP override the WSCST which is part
of the HostPrintTransform function??
