Client Access Console was stable (at least for me) before upgrading from
V4R1 to V4R4. Since that upgrade last July, Operations Console has never
worked. Also, neither IBM nor the business partners tell you that a
different console cable is needed when upgrading from Client Access Console
to Operations Console. After being unsuccessful with three different PCs
(both Win95 & 98), IBM support (through my business partner) said that I
would have to do a scratch install of Windows before they would assist any
further.

Like Jon, I have a lot of time invested in the console problem. I'd hate to
reward IBM for not taking care of a problem by purchasing additional
hardware, but at this point I think the cheapest way to resolve this problem
is to purchase a twinax controller. I've lost enough time, and I don't
think my money would be well spent paying IBM support trying things like
reinstalling Windows on my dollar.

Are you listening IBM?
