IBM just doesn't get it, do they? Can you imagine what is happening in the
shops that are not AS/400 biased when they open up their new 170?  NT must
look awfully simple and reliable to them.  

I'm seeing the white button on the AS/400 console panel pressed with
regularity.  There is a lot more difficulty in setting up any IBM hardware
or software than the IBM people are willing to acknowledge.  My own reaction
is that this hurts IBM a lot more than crumby advertising.

Thanks for the offer Larry but sadly I have no twinax port.  Can't help wish
they'd made this new console support a teeny bit more reliable!!  I've only
heard form two or  three folks that have it working - I've heard from
_lots_
who gave up in frustration like we did.  We must have burnt 7 days worth of
effort on the *%$@ thing.

I think I feel my first soundoff question forming
