× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

AKAIK, IBM has never discounted an OS or product even after
discontinuance of support.

To do so would encourage used equipment sales.  That's not really in the
best interests of IBM.
