I'm very new to the AS/400 (We used to run an old System/36 here) and recently
just completed some introductory courses in some aspects of the AS/400. It was
while on one of those courses that I heard of this list and I thought that it
was a great idea. I have posted several times to this list with Queries that I
am sure I would have eventually sorted if I ploughed through some of the
manuals here but I thought that the whole idea of this list was to pool sources
of information and solutions to some of the easier problems as well as
discussing the AS/400 and how to take over the world. I know that you were
waiting for this but the way our organisation works here means that I spend
only about 10% of my time working on the AS/400 along with everything else our
department has to deal with and I would love to have the time to read some
manuals but it just isn't possible and that is why I post to this list. I
don't force anybody to reply to my queries and waste their time but if someone
else knows the solution and posts it then it has helped out a fellow
programmer. Well it's just how I feel about this subject.

Regards

Keith
