  • Subject: Client Access Printing Problem

My site has a problem where a user can't print to a locally attached
printer via client access. Everything worked fine until last week when her
machine was unplugged and restarted. No configuration changes or anything
were done and the pc is at the same address etc.
It is Win 95, Client Access over TCPip. The writer and remote outq on the
AS400 are started and working. We can print from within Windows. We just
can't print a AS400 generated spool file to the HP Laser printer. The 5250
emulation and printer sessions are configured and started. The thing is we
no longer get the initial CA signon (the gray box) which I think starts
printer sessions. When we click on the CA session icon it takes me
directly to the AS400 signon. We get a error message about the PCSWS has
failed and the history log shows an entry 'PU0001 PU has terminated'
Anybody got any ideas? We didn't change anything
Thank You
