Wellll, sort of,,, M36 is a working version of SSP and as far as the
user is concerned, they are on a S/36, sooooo you don't have any AS/400
functions available...BUT the controlling OS is OS/400 so you do have 
all the normal, full functions of the 400 but not in the M36 machine...
but the two can "talk" and share files via DDM...

Just to make it more fun, you can have "several" M36's going at the same
time, as well as OS/400... It does require some planning to make all
this
work "together"....

A better solution is the S/36EE in OS/400 which allows you to mix and
match
functions... I would migrate some applications over to the S/36EE and
then
you could then begin to migrate out of the S/36EE to full native... This
method requires nothing more than a recompile...

The M36 is a pretty slick solution for S/36 folks that need new hardware
fast....
