I remember in a past life we also looked at the Harris Data package-probably
6 or so years ago. It was very reasonably priced, but it was up against
JDE, and the VP's fell head over heels for all the bells and whistles in the
JDE package. So they ended up paying mucho dinero when the Harris Data
package probably would have sufficed. JDE just had a better salesman. I
think Harris Data was in Manchester or Nashua NH.

We used to use a package from Harris Data years and years ago until
we
outgrew it. It ran on the S/36 and has since been migrated to the
400.
I think they are on the lower end of the scale.

        A two-parter:

1- A client uses and likes a Sys/36 software package from DCD
Company, a part of Borg Enterprises. Thewir address once was in
Minnesota, the most recent date we can find is 1988. Does anyone
know where they are now? And if they are active?

2- Do you sell, or are you aware of, a reasonably complete AS/400
payroll package from some other firm that might fill the client's
needs?
They'd like it to mate with other modules. BPCS and the like are
not
useful suggestions - this is a 50-person company that loves their
Sys/36 and is going to the AS/400 with trepidation and excitement.

        Thanks for your interest.
