I wrote a quick little CL on my system, called HOLIDAYMSG.

It takes a parameter of type char length 10.

If that parm is 'CHRISTMAS ' it sends a message to *ALLACT
which is a character representation of a christmas tree and a
gift with the message HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Now, why am I saying this? I found the easiest way to draw
ASCII art on the AS/400 in a SNDMSG is to do the SNDMSG,
hit F4 and "draw" the picture in the message part. When you got
it looking the way you want it to, go to each line and delete 7
characters. The reason for this is there is an empty border around
messages when displayed that makes the displayed text 7 characters
less than the SNDMSG MSG parameter.

When doing this I first sent it to myself to make sure it looked
right before I sent to *ALLACT.

Happy Holidays and
God Bless us every one,

Jim Langston
