Mapping problem in V4R4 Express CA

Thanks Evan , for jumping in and giving me some valuable information, I
don't' think U should ask an excuse for that. But anyway nice of you in
giving some suggestions, and sorry for the delay as I was ill for last
couple of days.

 Here're some more input for the queries I  had (PINK letters) .

        Is their network ID/Windows log on the same as their AS/400 profile
? (Or
        any As/400 profile for that matter) If it is then it will attempt to
log
        them on as that user and if the Windows password is not correct it
will
        prompt. However the behaviour for the log on is different for NT and
Win
        95, and is also somewhat dependent on whether you have enabled the
Guest
        user profile. You might want to advise which of these OS's you are
using
        Also, if they enter the wrong password their profile is eventually
disabled for NetServer support. Try issuing a CHGUSRPRF on their profile and
attempting to log on again. CHGUSRPRF re-sets their netserver access.
        Not all the USER ID's but some of the USER's  are having the Same ID
name that of the AS/400 USER ID. My USER ID on Network is different than
what I had on AS/400 and for me it doesn't ask any Password. Yes ! The Guest
User profile was enabled and we're on V4R4 O/S. U mean I'll have to just run
the Command CHGUSRPRF on that particular USER ID ? but I cannot see the User
ID in Disabled state when I use DSPUSRPRF,and still U want me to RUN the
CHGUSRPRF command?.

        I guess your windows log on password and your AS/400 password are
the same.
        No, My windows log on password and AS/400 password are totally
different and also USER Ids.

        What folders are you attempting to provide them with ? I found that
for some reason (possibly historical - and somethings thats always irked me)
that for QDLS files I seemed to need an entry in the Directory - i.e.
registered for distributions etc. Use WRKDIRE and see if your users are
included in the directory. Maybe you are and they aren't and therefore they
can't use QDLS stuff - but you can. Try with some of the other default share
directories (like RDARS) and see if the result is the same. Also check the
authorities on the folder you are attempting to access (QDLS/QBKBOOKS/BOOKS
?)
        Yes, they R registered in the distribution and even the Guest user
Profile that I mentioned in Netserver was registered. Am giving them this
folder (QDLS/QBKBOOKS/BOOKS) as description name "Books" in the Netserver.
The Authorities given to the Folder QDLS by default was PUBLIC as *RWX.

        There's a PTF for this problem. It's to do with passing directories
to DOS based programs. Unfortunately I'm at home and don't have the PTF
number to hand. If you search the IBM tech Support database for Netserver
PTF's you ought to be able to find reference to an APAR specific to
NetServer that has PTF's and symptoms listed. This is definitely one of
them.
                U mean the PTF for my Second issue? If so,  Please can U
help me in giving the PTF number when ever you're free, any way I'll be
searching for this on Web.
