  • Subject: ENDJOBABN & applying PTF's
  • From: Glenn Birnbaum <gbirnba@xxxxxxx>

We had to use the ENDJOBABN (End Job Abnormal) command to kill a misbehaving
job. We are going to IPL (powerdown restart=*yes) the system this weekend to
apply some PTF's.

My question: Will PTF's apply after using the ENDJOBABN? I seem to remember
the need to do one normal IPL after using ENDJOBABN, before PTF's could be
applied. I've looked at documentation for the ENDJOBABN and applying PTF's and
there is no mention or warning about ENDJOBABN. Does anyone know if ENDJOBABN
has any impact on applying PTF's any longer?

Thanks for any help in advance,
Glenn Birnbaum
