That doesn't make sense.  If the text was saved as part of the image, then 
how could the graphic be changed by a font program? 

As an aside, I'd bet the deterioration of the image is related to some 
sort of resizing operation.

that's what i did, moved it to paintbrush, and moved it back as a
graphic. 

it wasn't quite as good, but good enough. 

but i couldn't understand why it would show the text correctly thru the
spool viewer...
