That is ?not? true !

It is likely your have concern is not with the machine but rather V2R of OS/400 and application software. For an E35 to be Y2K Ready IBM states V3R2 is the minimum release level with all the latest CUM & Y2K PTFs . Y2K PTFs SF99200 or SF99201 are constantly changing, almost daily. You might expect this to happen through CROW into 2000 . The last list I saw stated, IBM will support V3R2 until the end of May 2000

As for your applications abilities to handle Y2K that is a one on one matter of how it gets resolved

If it is at all possible a change of the hardware system to a newer RISC model in early 2000 might be very appropriate to keep IBM support and be in tune with the industry 's opportunities.
