With all due respect, this is not a Service Director problem.  The
customer needs to have the guts to tell the CE that wants to take the
AS/400 down during a busy day that the CE in question is out of his/her
mind. 

In addition, if the system is down and will not come back up, no CE is
leaving _this_ site unless there is a death in the family. <g> 
_Especially_ if the CE took it down.  And I would not hesitate to report
this particular CE.

IMHO.
