My goal is "zero defect programming".  I put that right at the top of my
resume.  That's not to say that I never have bugs in my programs, but I try
to real hard to avoid them, and if one shows up, I fix it right away.  I'm
not a software vendor, but if I were, I'd still have that philosophy.  As
for deliberating putting bugs in software, that's criminal, both
figuratively and literally.  Like you, I'd quit before I'd do that or let it
be done.
