Some of it is the skill level of the "contractor". I went in on a consulting 
job once, and while I was there the user was screaming about how hard it was to 
recover from a problem in Monthend. She was using DFU to access a file that 
contained the monthend dates. She couldn't get directly to the record she 
wanted because she didn't know the key to the file. Both she (and the 
contractor who set this up) did not know that you could setll and roll through 
the file with DFU! I was dumbfounded that a contractor would no know this 
simple a task. I showed them this and made her a happy camper. 

I ended up contracting on various projects there for over three years. The 
other guy left at the end of his contract.
