my opinion has been that it's ibm's way to position the as/400 as modern
and up to date, not old, legacy, etc.  

but the flipping hamburger ad was really tasteless!  very unconstructive
on several fronts.  it ticked the rpg programming base off, and to the
as/400 naysayers, it was ammunition that the as/400 was an old legacy
machine!

but when was the last time ibm had a really good ad?
