To accomplish this, you need an printer emulator program on your PC.  The
easiest way is to use an emulator that supports TN5250E.

1. Setup a Virtual Device on the AS/400 associated with your User ID or the
Display Device you use.

2.Connect the printer emulator through the Telnet server on the AS/400 to
the Virtual Device by entering the device name of the virtual device you
created and the IP address of the AS/400.

3.In your PC, select the printer attached to your LPT1.

4.Send a print job to test it.

This should work with any TN5250E compliant emulator including Client Access
Express and the Renex BlueZone AS/400 emulator (Shameless Plug!).  Please
feel free to download an eval copy an check it out.  Our support department
will gladly help anyone set this up.
