I tried it with a regular file to see what would happen.  It worked fine. 
The advantage to the source PF so far as I could see is that you have a 
built-in PDM editor for the file.

I created a source PF call FTPSRC in my application library.  It does not
matter what you call it, just make sure it is a source PF.
