  • Subject: Question on determining job(s)
  • From: Chuck Lewis <clewis@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Folks,

I have created a routine that duplicates all spool files from our daily
Invoice run RIGHT after the job runs during the night because spool
files are getting deleted... Designated users print this stuff so they
have to have rights to it. I figure that duping it is the easiest way to
"secure it" and it takes virtually NO time. I have created an outfile
for the WRKJOB *SPLF command and can get JUST what I want, pass that to
a CL and dup the spool files somewhere secure...

This works FINE when there is just ONE iteration of the INVOICE job,
which is NORMALLY the case. There are, however times when they will run
2 (for different dates). HOW can I determine how many iterations of job
INVOICE there are on the system ? The WRKJOB command will issue CPI1157
- Duplicate jobs found and SHOW this information on a screen where you
can of course select the one you want, but I need to be able to do this
under the covers and pick from this list.

TIA !

Chuck
