QBASIC was lot further down the line as I understand it. Eric is talking
about the first basic for the 8-bit Altair(I believe that was the machine
name). Product was actually built on a emulator running on a DEC PDP
machine. When no one else had anything (No machine to write on), Gates was
ready with a product when the product shipped.
